I assume if Matai doesn'tplay it is Beaver out the backline.

What about Burns at 5/8 and then Lyon in the centre. Is a stronger feel to the side and allows Beaver to sub in the pack.

That would seem a sensible option (bringing Ballin onto the bench) but Des seems to want to keep Lyon at 5/8th and therefore Beaver is the best Centre cover available.

Lyon at 5/8 for mine, he needs as much time there as possible.

Im with Garts on this. Des will persist with Lyon at 5/8 into the finals regardless, so i want to see a cultivated attacking 5/8 by then.
