Talk of Jack Bird heading to Brookvale next year refuses to die.
The 20-year-old has been a revelation for Cronulla since making his NRL debut in round four.
Just last month coach Shane Flanagan revealed the Sharks were close to extending Bird’s deal, however speculation has been running wild that Bird will link with the Sea Eagles in 2017.
Bird made his representative debut under Country Origin coach Trent Barrett earlier this year and reportedly the pair hit it off.
Bird’s expected to start the season playing fullback for the Sharks.

I wouldn't be surprised if the club is trying to figure out some kind of player swap to get him here this year.

Parcell has most components of a quality 5/8, especially with DCE basically controlling both sides of the ruck.
Parcell has vision, speed & anticipation to make him 1 of the best support players in the game- ideal as a running 5/8 to compliment DCE's game.
Also, the kid can tackle...Lyon is the reliable option but Parcell would excell there, though also explosive from dummy half , maybe opens the door to have him & Api both on the field.
Turbo is a gun but a bit fragile to play there in 2016 Imo....could maybe & cause damage in attack, but risky in many ways.

Far out. All I got from that article was that neither have played in the halves and neither really want to.

People are making assumptions about Parcell playing there based on 1 game they watched on grandfinal day.

Seen Parcell several times....at hooker ONLY in 2015.....think he has got some useful attributes to play well there however....can only see Lyon getting the gig Unless more cavalry arrive so its simply ideas & opinion atm.
Make no mistake - Lyon IS the safe option today

We have signed Tim Moltzen so he will be our 5/8 for next year. That is if he doesn't break down during pre season

Tim Moltzen if hes not injured might be a good option.

He's Tim Moltzen, which means he's always injured. I wish it wasn't so (probably not as much as he wishes it wasn't so), but it is. Also, not much of a tackler, even on the odd occasion he isn't injured.

Moltzen won't be seen
