For those knocking JWH there's was heaps more that came our way for the big dollars. Let it go, he;s gone, bye bye.

Why pursecute a guy who may or may not be successful for taking the offer. Yes, we've developed him in the last 18 months but other clubs have developed players for longer and we've managed to nab a few. Don't get all upperty because one of few have gone the other way.

Agreed.  So long, farewell, Auf wiedersehen, goodbye.

No wonder the roosters paid so much for Hargraves when they are letting Mason go and they have lost Shakleton to the eels.  It looks like Hargraves is going to be their forward leader next year along with O'Meally.

Eels land Roosters forward ShackletonJune 10, 2009 - 8:09AM
Parramatta have signed the Sydney Roosters forward Shane Shackleton on a three-year deal.

The City Origin representative will join Parramatta in the 2010 season.

Eels coach Daniel Anderson said he was delighted to land the versatile second-rower.

"We're obviously very happy to have Shane on board for 2010 and beyond," Anderson said.

"He broke through for his first representative jumper this year and he'll certainly add some versatility and variety to our pack.

"What's more, we feel we've got a quality person, not just a quality player."

The 26-year-old has played 53 games for the Roosters since making his first-grade debut against Brisbane in 2005.

Acting Eels chief executive Andrew Hill said the signing of Shackleton is a vote of confidence in the team and the club as well as the direction in which both are heading.

"We're looking forward to Shane strengthening our team on and off the paddock," Hill said.

"It's important for the club to be able to attract players of Shane's calibre. We also look forward to continuing negotiations with other players for season 2010."

The funny part is that fact you read my user name and had thoughts of penises, there on your mind a lot I'm guessing (or in your mouth). Please don't use me in your homoromantic red and black coloured fantasies, I have no problem with your life choice it's just not for me - but it does back up what I've always thought about north’s supporters.

What a shame to lose him, he has shown great potentiall and I have met him a few times and he is genuinely a nice bloke. I'm sure he will play well at the roosters. On a positive note at least he didn't go to the parra slime.

Good luck Jared and we look forward to putting another record score on the roosters next time we play you guys at brookie.
