Wasn't there so I can't really say, but if it was a punch I think Taylor would still be laying there in 100 pieces!

If they decide to press charges against Fa'alongo and he is charged then it will effect his chances of getting a visa to play in the UK.

He has a history of punching people out.  Obviously another player who is not smart enough to realise that he shouldn't be drinking.

To be fair it sound like he retaliated and was not the instigator

It depends on what paper you read.  One says that taylor punched him first and another article says that Fa'alogo come at him through a crowd of people.

Jason Taylor is gay 10 stone weakling who would hurt a fly with even his best punch let alone a big second rower.  A massive overeaction by Fa'alogo especially if they had all been on the piss.

Who cares - if you get pissed and hit someone, then they beat you in retaliation it's your own fault, Taylor should know his limitations.

So you have Brett Stewart hung based on newspaper reports as well ?

it's a shame they cannot sack David Faaaarlongo As he is running away to England for a 4 year stint. I hope his english super league coach is not a whimp like Jason Taylor Square.

If he gets a conviction there will be no SL for him! Massive brain snap from him.

Taylor was 'escorted' out of the MCG for his brain snap with the cup of urine.  Wasn't prosecuted though or banned.

Maybe Jayce just can't take no for an answer and thinks that no really means yes or maybe it was just that blue singlet that Fa'alongo was wearing that inspired Jayce to go after his man  ;D

No not on newspaper / media reports

Taylor is a piss weak prick. I am about the same size and weight as Taylor so there is **** all to me. Once I was in the city out of the front of Jacksons waiting for a cab with 2 women friends of mine. We got to the front of the cue and all about to get into the Cab and Guess what little Germ of a halfback playing for Parramatta jumps into the back. I had to drag the little prick out myself telling him that I was going to tear him another hole. Once he was out he barked orders at his Forwards who were lining up properly to beat the **** out of me, they just laughed at him and told him to **** off!!

After that and the fact he was sleezing on another friend of mine who was there with her boyfriend I have no respect for the ****!! I have no doubt he deserved to get hammed by Fa'alogo

According to some on a souths forum, Taylor is about to be sacked.
Johnny Lang is already at the club, so it would an easy transition. I just can't imagine Taylor being able to inspire anyone to do anything.
Although it seems Crowe is lead by some sort of misguided loyalty to Taylor, he may very well stay.

Souths to have board meeting with Jason Taylor's future in the balance
By David Beniuk
September 09, 2009 .

South Sydney coach Jason Taylor is set to learn his fate when the NRL club's board meets on Thursday in the wake of the weekend altercation with forward David Fa'alogo.

The Rabbitohs were on Wednesday expected to wind up their investigation of the incident, in which Taylor was reportedly knocked out by a punch from Fa'alogo at an inner Sydney hotel on Sunday night.

Rabbitohs chief executive Shane Richardson met Fa'alogo and the player's manager Gavin Orr on Wednesday, but Taylor's agent Wayne Beavis said he and his client were yet to put their side of the story.

"I don't know anything until Souths complete their investigation,'' Beavis said

"If they ask us to we'll meet with them.''

A Souths official said Richardson was likely to make a recommendation to the board on Thursday.

The developments came with speculation rife Taylor was on thin ice at the club.

He is off contract after the 2010 season but the Rabbitohs have failed to make the finals in the past two years after he took them to the playoffs in his first year at the helm.

Souths co-owner Russell Crowe publicly backed Taylor late last month, but whether the Hollywood star's support will extend to end-of-season drinking sessions with players is yet to be seen.

"I don't know how they're going to sack anyone without having all the information and sitting down and the parties having their say,'' Beavis said.

Taylor previously attracted controversy as Souths' mentor when he and his Parramatta successor Michael Hagan exchanged insults after a match at Parramatta Stadium in 2007.

Rabbitohs director Peter Holmes a Court said he was happy with the progress of the investigation.

"The club has spoken very clearly, it's acted very seriously,'' Holmes a Court told Fox Sports News.

"The CEO Shane Richardson and the chairman Nick Pappas are going through a process, they'll make an appropriate recommendation to the board and I'm very comfortable with the process the club is going through.

"I'm a director but my job is to support management to do their job, to be thorough. No one's got a hot head. Shane's doing a careful investigation of every part of every fact.''

Richardson and Pappas on Tuesday viewed CCTV footage of the incident, which has variously been reported as high-jinks gone wrong and a long-running feud following a dressing down of Fa'alogo for punching the Sydney Roosters' Braith Anasta two years ago.

The criticism in front of Fa'alogo's teammates was captured in the fly-on-the-wall documentary South Side Story.

"David, it's selfish mate,'' Taylor says in the dressing room scene.

"I don't want to be the coach of a team that has people punching players in the mouth.

"I can't see how he's going to be playing with us next week.''

Beset by off-field crises in 2009, the NRL have said they are monitoring the situation.

For the past year or two JT has been an unabashed admirer of Faalogo's intimidatory style. Suddenly he is a bashed admirer.

Quite funny in a way if he was sacked for being whacked.

Usually it's the whacker who is in more strife.
