On the League show over here last night, they had a chat to Watmough and B Stewart. Watmough had this to say

"A little while ago we decided that we aren't trying to defend a Premiership, we are trying to win a Premiership"

Interesting how such a simple little mindset like that can turn performances around

This deosnt surprise me....A reporter asked Tooves a few weeks ago, how hard is it to defend a premiership? and he said the same thing - "we're not trying to defend one, we're trying to win one" I think the lads have put last year to rest and want to focus on winning this year and being able to enjoy the week that follows.

That "defend/win a premiership" material comes straight from the out sourced motivation gurus we have on board. Its in a recent article on this site.

Players of the past and older supporters scoff at the use of Psyche Coaches (as detailed in a SMH report last weekend) but they are a huge advantage for clubs with a good one.

Seems Des took ours with him but the new bloke has bought a fresh approach to the season. It is little pearls of wisdom like the above, more than likely generated by this guy, which appear to have our team maintaining the drive and hunger to go B2B.

Tooves has done a brilliant job in juggling all this, but we really need to reserve a huge thanks not only for the psyche guy, but Donny Singe as well. His balance between positivity and physically smashing the blokes is perhaps unrivalled across the competition at getting the best out of the playing group and is very likely the re-signing by the club in the shadow of Des-gate that ensured a genuine tilt at another title.

Really? Coming from a Dogs fan? Why don't you go spray paint a train, or go beat up fans, or bring in weapons to games. That's what you seem to be good at.

Choc should be congratulated for how he turned his life around, not ridiculed by a hypocrite who has no idea.

Can someone ban this guy yet? He's obviously not here for a discussion, just to troll. The rules say to "discuss" Rugby League, not "troll rugby league fans".

Its little wonder flea beagle fans are trolling here. They've gone after our best players, lifted the coaching staff, and are currently pilfering every performance enhancement approach developed at Manly for the last 10 years. Its gotta be only a matter of time before they launch a takeover bid for this forum.

He's made one stupid comment. A second and he can go. Some people out there are very bored and not very smart.

Aren't Bulldogs supporters too busy beating up innocent bystanders to be posting on other team's forums?

Honestly this is the problem with allowing internet connections into jail

I think that Professor Foz's "RUN IT,FCK YA" is the only motivating mantra that Manly need:p
