    couldnt read it at work, but is that the vid with Laxman getting something off a trainer and putting it in his pocket?

    The question is what was the thing in the pocket. Was it a mint or something that aided the shining of the ball, enabling more swing?

    the fact that they were appearing to be so secretive about it may suggest something untoward, but theres really no way to tell.

    And more to the point there is not likely to be anythign done about it.

    The third test showed that the ICC is a joke and basically the Indians got everything they asked for. It reminded me of appeasement and Chamberlain and Hitler!!

    Could have been anything from a tool to dig at the seam or like fro said a lolly.

    I saw Singh rub his fingers over a lollie in his mouth in the second test and then rub one side of the ball.

    I also recall reading somewhere a while back about the effects of menthol on the leather of a cricket ball.
