    Does anyone have any info at all on how close he is to re-signing?We must retain this guy,HIM AND FORAN ARE THE REASON OUR BACKLINE ATTACK IS LOOKING SO GOOD SO FAR THIS YEAR!We can't just let him go to another team ill be filthy f we do,how close is he to signing,does anyone know?

    It has been reported and it is true that the Bulldogs have gone hard after him and made him an offer higher than Manly have.

    But I understand the Bulldogs think he isn't going to take up their offer. He wants to stay at Manly and as things stand at this stage he will resign with Manly for less than their offer.

    You'd think he'd be more of a chance to play NRL with us now that he has pretty well cemented a spot, and with no one really nipping at his heels. I'm not sure where the Dogs perceive Barba's best position is, but they have just tied him up for a few more years and probably have him in mind as a taking over from Kimmorely at half with Roberts at 5/8, so Trent would be back to 2nd fiddle.
