Lo
Add Mason to that list of players to dump, dropped the ball and set the tone for the match.

Williame should never see a blade of grass again. Ballin needs some time to learn to pass to the player, not behind them like he has done a few times over the last few weeks, might pick up how to run whilst there.
Lol, are you serious..... Drop ballin

i agree with his work ethic and laziness at times, as well as the laps of concerntration, but i think hes a skilled player with a good passing game and footwork. sure, he can improve a lot, but i could name about 15 others in the squad that could improve more, remember that game he played at fullback against aus for nz, he showed the talent he has at his disposal.
i agree with williame, mason etc. but giving stick to ballin is just uncalled for, hes been working his ass off this year as he always does.
then again, id love michael robertson to go back 10 years and play for us now lol

3 hit ups in 2 games of footy just doesn't cut the mustard. Needs to get a little pressure off our forwards.

Hit ups are different to kick returns, at least when they measure stats, aren't they?
Hiku, like much of our team, is out of position and out of form. At his best, he's electric and is a high quality first grader. I want more from him, too, but let's not suggest turfing him, he's 22 and still has a lot of great footy in him.

Sorry mate, meant to be ballin. Love your stat work. Put some effort in that? I'll get back to drinking beer and misreading posts.
hahah no worries, i agree though ballin needs to step up in that remark, hes still a great hooker though but i think age is getting to him. luckily we have hodges probably our best player with dce and jake t against the dogs on friday. and yeh put my fair share of effort into that statistical work there

I personally don't see what everyone else seems to with Hiku beefing up. To me at least watching on the telly and online he doesn't look any bigger than he was last year.

Peter Hiku is at his best when he attacks the ball and gets us on the front foot with a kick return, I think things will improve when Jorge Tafua returns as we do not make enough yards to start our sets.

Our ball control killed us against the dogs, for me that was the most contributing factor, giving them easy possession and twice we gave the ball up after scoring. Discipline needs to return boys!

I think his footwork is very good and he can be difficult to bring down. He looks bigger (slightly) than last yr but with the way Centres look i think the coaching staff are purposely making him add weight but probably didn't taper off in time or part of the training and diet they have put him on. The squad as a whole doesn't look overweight so i don't know what ppl are complaining about. I'm sure if Hiku has stacked on as much weight as everyone thinks that the coaching staff would make him shed the weight. Probably just part of what they have planned for him.

At 22 he has a lot of potential and has shown it at club and international level. Also he had the Warriors chasing him but chose to stay to improve under our systems on probably less $$ so he is here for the right reasons.

There is enough negative commentary at our club and it seems every player should be dropped for the under 20's players. Personally i would rather leave our lower grades alone as they are on a role and if they develop a team bond they are more likely to stay with the club. Not bring them up through into a first team that is stuggling for form and confidence. Our juniors are the future and let them develop without handicapping the reserve team too.

He's an interesting player, a classic jack of all trades utility player. Not the speed to be a fullback, nor winger, not the defence to be a 5'8, nor the quick thinking or playmaker to be a quality half. Also not the size to be a backrower or the defence there either. Centre will be his only specialist posn in future, and he should REALLY PRACTICE his place kicks, cause if he can corner that market, this is how he can best hold on to his first grade spot. Also surprisingly he's gutsy under the high ball. So he can fill in, but he aint gonna score 150 tries for Manly. Be lucky to get 50.
Agree with him being a jack of all trades master of none. But his best attribute is diffusing bombs with a bit of a step so like him at wing. Too weak for centres and doesnt seem to support or chime in as well in attack for fullback.

Tonight showed that Hiku to centre long term is a good option. He steps nicely of the right, and has a good left arm fend, with some handy reads in defence a feature of his game. Potentially, we could see Lyon to 5/8 next year and Hiku to centre. A good half back to partner Killer and our back line is looking OK with Gutherson on the other wing.

Poor JLJ.

Poor JLJ, maybe we should just cut him before he gets another game.

I'd rather we get Cliffy out of retirement before giving JLJ a game. Everyone including JLJ knows that he is not on the verge of cracking grade, he is biding his time before taking up a plumbing apprenticeship. I can't believe there are a some supporters who believe he is waiting in the wings. He is a career reserve grader like Mark Shipway, or Gary Winter, he knows it, the club knows it, but some supporters are in denial.

Noo

No reggies player ever thinks they are a career reggies player. He did well in his 2 shots last year (1st being better than 2nd granted).

Bring Cliffy back over JLJ? Not worth commenting on.

JLJ will do me fine compared to what we have now.
