Rothfield has stated in his blog today that the board didn't want to re-sign hasler in June this year.

Clearly this couldn't possibly be true so have they asked rothfield to retract his statement?

"This is obviously an emotional issue for Manly supporters. You have to remember Des wanted to stay. He wanted to extend his contract in June. The board didn’t want him. That’s a fact. Des has a family to look aftyer like all of us. Canterbury wanted the best coach ion the business so they signed Des. Simple as that. Why didn’t the Manly directors sign Des midway through the season? You should be directing your anger in their direction".

From what I've heard that's true. Des asked twice I think mid-season and they said nah nah we'll do it later. Now look what happened.

If it was precisely that don't you think he'd have just hit them up for a massive pay increase? The board's delay would have backfired as they have to pay him overs.

Why does he have to destroy us in the process of leaving. Why take so many of his staff with him? Why (allegedly) attempt to take our players?

Im pretty sure the board have got a few more pressing issues at the moment, than the dribble that Rothfield has been crapping on about.

IMO , anyone who harps on about the board being the problem, is adding fuel to Ha$ler'$ and Greenburg's plan, which is to poison the minds of players such as Foran in the hope that they follow De$$ie to Belmore. All this board talk is designed to play on the players minds and get them to leave.

That's exactly what is happening Bones. An orchestrated corporate raid and media campaign to destabilize and force Manly into sacking Des so that the dogscum can prey on get clauses. We MUST NOT SACK DES.

Agreed. I also think people are aiming their bullets in the wrong direction when they blame the media. They are getting their info from somewhere, regardless of how based in fact it is, unfortunately that's the world we live in.

    There not "your players".

    They are workers.

When your mate at work leaves to get a job at his old bosses place do you cry on the internet ?

FFS grow up the lot of you. Manly is forever, coaches and players come and go.

    The end.
