Heard on 2GB that the Parra board have told Anderson to resign or be sacked. Apparently the board are using an ex player and some sort of racial vilification problem as the threat to get rid of him. I just love seeing that club manage to pull itself down all the time. They are such a bunch of losers.

Agree DSM, for the life of me I don't actually know why Orford would want to come back, we know it's s**t football in England but at that stage of his career it's easy money and coming back just puts an awful lot of pressure on you.

When you say imploding, in the past 12 months, whilst under achieving on the field by losing only two more games than us, they have:-

a) Recruited like a demon - Manly have recruited Daniel Harrison - also consider they are going to get a Union International for 2012.
b) Attained Funding for an upgrade to that filth known as Parra Stadium - Brooky's funding is continuously being contested;
c) Attained a new major sponsor - Manly has lost theirs;
d) Increased their memberships from 3704 to 6272 or 169% of previous year - Manly's has actually gone backward from 3023 to 2686
e) Had an average of 17,020 fans per game at home - increased from the previous year - Manly had an average of 13,821

Come on guys - we shouldn't throw stones, when our own backyard is definitely way out of sorts.

Feleti Mateo is the ex player.

Departing Parramatta forward Feleti Mateo has denied claims made on Sydney radio that there was a racial vilification issue between him and coach Daniel Anderson.

Mateo, who is leaving the Eels for the Warriors in 2011, has vehemently denied the racial vilification allegation made on 2GB on Saturday.

"I have been told about a report on radio saying that I had complained about a racial issue regarding Daniel, and that it had been brought up in discussion about the coaching situation at the club,'' Mateo said in a statement issued by the club.

"That is absolutely not true. I spoke with Ando today to clarify this and there is no issue. There has been no racial comments that have upset me, let alone been anything I have complained to the club about. Nothing of the sort has anything to do with me leaving to play with the Warriors.

"What the club does on the coaching front, or anything to do with the board and management, has nothing to do with me and I am disappointed my name has been brought into this.''

Eels chief executive Paul Osborne added: "No issue between Feleti and Daniel has ever been raised with the club and suggestions to the contrary are completely false.

"I've spoken to Daniel today and it's the first either of us had heard of this supposed complaint. It didn't happen.''

Amid the speculation about the coaching position, Osborne confirmed that a review of the season had now been completed and would be presented to the board this week for consideration.

Wow parra beat us twice this year! I think you are underestimating the effect that the Stewart case has has on the club not only on but also off the field. Parra had basically an injury free year, I think we fared ok considering the circumstances..

Exactly right Innes. I'd like to see any of the other top 8 teams handle missing 6 starting first graders plus 4 more playing with injuries requiring surgery and 6 of those 10 players are internationals. They did great considering all that adversity.
