The Parramatta Eels back line of 1981-1984?
Melbourne Storm back line of 2006-2009?
Eastern Suburbs Roosters of 1974-1975?
Brisbane Broncos of 1992-1993 or 1997-1998?
Manly Warringah Sea Eagles of 1972-1973, 1976, 1978, 1987, 1995-1997, 2007-2008 or 2011?
Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs of 1979-1980?
Canberra Raiders of 1989-1991?

Other?

Let's say since 1970. Yes, we know about St.George's eleven in a row.

Souths backline of late 60s-early 70s:
bobby grant, dennis pittard, ray branigan, paul sait, mick michelle cleary, bob honan, ecca simms potting 2 pt field goals anytime they get within 40 yards. .

Of all these, the manly ones are all the best :), but aside from that,

the eels backlines were pretty devastating in their structure, with cronin the pivot point, sterling's tidy passing and kicking game and bert kenny inside him and the zip zip man outside. plus they had the guru: a truly awesome force.

Raiders were also pretty formidable. Belcher, a quality fullback in all departments. daley and stuart in the halves would run the attack and daley could do it all himself if necessary. Of course there was the small matter of mr Meninga.

Can't split Broncos in 92-93 or Canberra in 90-91. But there wasn't a lot of Cap policing going on at the time either.

The Melbourne Storm team of 2006-2009 had a great back line. (Over Salary Cap)
1. Billy Slater
2. Matt Geyer
3. Matt King
4. Greg Inglis
5. Israel Folau
6. Scott Hill
7. Cooper Cronk

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles team of 2011 I believe will be recognized as a one of the best ever back lines as years go by.
1. Brett Stewart
2. Michael Robertson
3. Jamie Lyon
4. Steve Matai
5. William Hopoate
6. Kieran Foran
7. Daly Cherry-Evans

Plus the "Wolfman" David Williams a Australian International & State of Origin winger out injured.

Wigan's in the early nineties

This one won the '94 WCC played in Brisbane

2. Jason Robinson
3. Sam Panapa
4. Barrie Jon-Mather
5. Martin Offiah
6. Frano Botica
7. Shaun Edwards

Much as I hated them , that Eels side back in the day (early 80's) was genius & ahead of its time.
Individually Kenny(eels) & Steve Rogers(Sharks) are 2 backs that can be talked about alongside the immortals.
That devestating over capped Storm backline could not muster a point against Manly in the 08 GF so for those who rate defence more important than attack - maybe this gives those Seaeagles a fair sight.

Canberra 94 was pretty handy

Eels during 80's were top shelf though. Ours in 2011 will go down as one of the best ever as well.
