Manly to Win!

C'MON MANLY - FIRE UP!

Lets prove all the doubters wrong,11th straight final series is beckoning..

Only questions is - how badly does this group want it?!

We should win easy - Foran's playing for a multi million dollar contract :p

Keary is meant to have some foot problem, so someone needs to stomp on it early :giggle:

Feleti Potatoe to stomp on his foot.

Damm shame Hasson already has a match day sponsor otherwise silvertails could chip in
Feliti would be better off sitting on his foot - for more effect!

After his effort last Friday night James Hasson doesn't actually deserve to be dropped this week. Sure he offers next to nothing in attack but some support play, but his defence couldn't be faulted. 25 tackles and only one missed tackle in 31 minutes. And he actually took more hit ups, ran for more metres and tackled more than Burgess did and the Pom played 10 more minutes.

The big danger from Souffs in this game will be Inglis. He seems to have gotten over whatever injuries he had and as we saw in last weeks Origin he is back in form. And that run he made for his no try.....I haven't seen him run that fast since his Melbourne days. Josh Morris, who has ran him down more than once over a much shorter distance, didn't gain a yard on him over that 85 metres. If Inglis is in that sort of mood on Friday night he will have to be stopped.

I can see Manly winning this one. The Sea Eagles by 8.

Completely agree with everything you said. Except about Josh Morris's speed. After his knee operation last year I think he has lost his speed. And Dugan and hoppa arnt the fastest. Though he has definitely got his mojo back.

Agree about Morris being a bit slower than he was, but the fact is that I haven't seen Inglis run that fast in about 5 or 6 years. Even a fully fit Morris (or his brother) wouldn't have caught him on that run.

Dugan and Hoppa Mk.II couldn't catch a cold in a sprint race, let alone run anyone down.

Inglis seems a lot faster this year than previous years, he picked up Shaun Johnson fairly quickly when he was in the clear in that ANZAC test match

Hopefully another week of getting the same men on the field will reap muchos benefits....like 2 points in the tipping comp!

We will get thrashed and Hasson will have a shocker, mark my words.

I only see this happening if we give Souths the same amount of possession and field position in our 20 like the Broncos game.

If we don't start strong I agree we will be in for a very long night , much like last years semi final.

But if we start well, I don't see this happening.

We need to avoid getting into a battle in the middle, spread the ball, run their big men around and hopefully cut them to shreds on the edges. Kick long, big chase, keep the ball in play and execute when the field position comes. The blueprint for beating Souths was done perfectly by the Tigers the other week.

It's a big game for us and I think we have a good chance if the gameplan is right. But a forwards battle is not the recipe for winning this game
