I have spent a long year training my fiance to like footy. We are at the point now that she knows not to make any fun or false moves after a Manly loss or if a loss is imminent. She also avidly defends Manly to others and has allowed me to set up the entire bar under our patio as a Manly Shrine (I pay the mortgage so she better ). I don't believe that it will improve beyond this because she still sometimes says it is just a game.

I am sure whomever snags you two footy crazed girls won't be foolsih enough to squander it!

I've tried to train every girl I know into becoming a beer-drinking footyhead.

And to be honest, the girls I know have done a mighty fine job in giving it a crack. And full marks to them. They make my weekends wonderful.
