We had an issue with background services between march 10th and 15th or there about. This meant the payment services were not linking to automatic upgrades. If you paid for premium membership and are still seeing ads please let me know and the email you used against PayPal and I cam manually verify and upgrade your account.
The point he is making is that Rugby League has been far too influenced by gambling and alcohol. It is hard to argue with that, given that in particular gambling is now fully embedded into the sport. However, it is nigh on impossible to find a sport that doesn't involve gambling.
He is being sensationalist in order to make his point but in doing so has failed to actually make his point well, if at all.
Personally I am not a gambler at all. I rarely have a bet beyond Melbourne cup and also think that the fact that all Rugby League telecasts etc now include a segment for a bookie to actually further encourage gambling, even the radio broadcasts.
I don't see that as necessary but I also don't see it as evil. I just think with money being tight for a lot families I know, they could be better served by not having gambling thrust in their faces all the time

People who resort to describing things in terms of ‘good v evil’ are invariably just invoking a fear campaign to cover for their lack of reasoning. This has become a regular catchcry in Western politics, dately roughly, I think, from when George Bush Snr sought to justify the first Gulf War using such expressions.
