Well I was willing to sign in previous post and give benefit of doubt, if this is true, then see ya. That's terrible form.

This is a worry, if it's true (and it does seem to be more than paper talk based on Gidley's comments) then I think it's a disgrace. He is employed by Manly and needs to represent us in all he does, not the bloody Titans. I know it's just a phone call, but what does it say about his current commitment to the club? He should be worrying about Manly and only Manly for this year, playing a recruiting role on behalf of the Titans is so disrespectful to our club.

I haven't really bagged DCE, or Keiran over the last few months, and have tried to keep the emotion out of it all, but something about this just doesn't sit well with me at all. If I were Toovey, and this is true, I'd be having a very serious talk with DCE and consider dropping him.

Maybe I'm making too much of it, but this just really grates on me big time.

If you believe the paper talk at least we'll be safe because no-one likes him...apparently.

So out of interest, do you think Gidley's quote was made up then?

People shouldn't be surprised by the behaviour of either of these mercenaries.

I feel bad for The Knights. DCE ****ed up fan enjoyment here in Manly, now he attempts to **** the season for Knights fans.

Can I officially apologise to Knights fans on behalf of Manly fans. Lets just say we can empathise with the greed, lies and secrets.

Don't think Gidley would lie. Doesn't seem the type. Kelly better grow some balls and do something about this.

He is being rolled straight over by these two manipulative pricks.

Well they did put him in charge of recruitment. Seriously though, bad form from DCE. Amazing how so many athletes claim to be professionals but their actions are anything but.

Just posted in the other thread that its poor form. Its not something that hasn't happened before and its not uncommon that clubs try and get potential/new recruits together for a meeting but this appears to have gone a step further than that.

I guess it puts to bed any chance of him changing his mind.

Well said. This is not only unprofessional, but it is unethical. Not only should he be stood down, but the NRL should sanction him. Oh wait, he's their employee, so anything goes like playing with druggies.

Seems Titans under the NRL are a rule unto themselves

I am not surprised but that flys in the face of that I am committed to Manly for 2015. Any plans for 2016 can surely be discussed after the first week in October. Come on DCE do the right thing!

Unfortunately this is where rugby league is headed. And it's not a good look nor a good thing. But hey Dave Smith and Todd Greenburg, the game has never been in better shape right? You guys are doing a great job! Just keep asleep at the wheel.

A lot of people have defended DCE (previously) and this whole thing as being 'professionals' in the modern era and how we as workers job hop. I don't know about others, but if I had resigned from my job and had 4/8 weeks left, but then started recruiting people to my new company.....I'd be out the door quick smart.
