My Full strength team would go

01.Stewart
02.Robertson
03.Lyon
04.Matai
05.Hopoate
06.Foran
07.DCE
08.King
09.Ballin
10.Kite
11.Watmough
12.Rodney
13.Stewart

14.Trex
15.Mauro
16.Lussick
17.Rose

3 FR 3 SR in reality Tony,Lussick and Rose could all play FRF
Mauro,Tony and Lussick could play SRF

Tony could cover a few backline positions but id prefer Mauro make the shift if needed,or Lussick those 2 seem quick on their feet,Rose and Tony should be kept in the pack at all times

I don't think you can rotate like the Australian Cricket Team...

Players need to build combinations and get to know each others game well....i guess with forwards you could rotate because they interchange every 20 mins anyway, but with the backs you need to know the player either side of you very well and anticipate what each other is going to do...rotating won't help with that.

Think you can mate

Week 1 rest stewie hoppa at fullback
Week 2 Rest Robbo hoppa on the wing
Week 3 Rest Matai hoppa in centres
Week 4 Rest Wolf Hoppa on the wing
Week 5 Rest lyon Hoppa in the centres
Week 6 Rest hoppa

I think it would have the boys nice and fresh the only thing i havent taken in to account is who we are playing.

Mini-slump my arse. He's going great. He and Mauro can be depended on to get some metres happening. What a strange life T-Rex must have. One minute people are calling for his head, the next he's a must have. Strange days indeed.

Most peculiar mumma.

But on the Chocmeister, I thought it was a blessing in disguise that he went off injured, as he (and us) appeared to be going through one of his 'thousand mile stare' games, where his mind wasn't correctly focused. Potentially dodgy play the balls, dropped balls, sideways running - the whole gamut of classic Whatnow(?) ****e was dredged up and on display out there.

no matter who is named in the team, some one on here will have a different opinion on it!

IMO des can't go wrong, every player is just going so well.

as far as the wing debate goes...heres my 2 cents. I know i will be howled down. I realy havent seen hoppa do to much when playing on the wing that robbo and wolf arent equally capable of. Now, centre or fullback, thats another proposition entirely. With everyone fit i would leave hoppa out. Both robbo and wolfie are specialist wingers whereas the majority of hoppas football overall has been at fullback and centre. I say go with the specialists, they have much more experience at wing and in first grade. Its not like either of them are letting us down.

Silly post mate. He dropped one ball. Kite gave away the play the ball penalty. We are never better off with put him and it's foolish to say so

Slump is a bit too strong. But his last 3 weeks haven't been as good as say the rest of the season.

From rounds 1-15 he was averaging 100m from 12 carries and 21 tackles and only 1 missed tackle per game. In the last 3 weeks he is averaging 65m from 9 carries, 13 tackles and 2 missed tackles per game.

That's not downplaying his importance to the team, but the stats flush out my opinion as well that he's hasn't had a good few weeks.

Nood is old, it's hard enough for 21 yr old like Foran to keep up the intensity over an entire season, let alone Grandpapa Nood.

This has been reflected with Nood getting less minutes in recent weeks, we need him to have enough fuel in the tank to make an impact for us in the finals.

Is that a slump or just decreased minutes, last week he only played 28 mins.

Definitely a factor but just doesn't seem to have the same punch in his runs and tackles as he was having. Nothing too major to worry about and nothing that wouldn't be fixed with giving him a spell and having him fresh for the finals.

Wolfpack, its him going off "injured" thats really concerning to me

I don't see it as a massive issue, he is going to get dinged up a lot playing the game the way he does but wont recover from the hits as well as the younger guys. He's had a bad run as of late but has been reliable for majority of his career, especially with us. The recent injuries may be related to his workload over the first half of the season, but with Rodney back & Lussick hitting his straps as a first grader this shouldn't be an issue anymore.

Personally I think Nood could do with a couple of weeks off shortly, have him come back refreshed for round 25 & 26 where we will need all hands on deck.

As for Choc, I hope he is rested for next week even if he is fit. We have plenty of second rowers & they all need game time. We need Choc for the finals, not for beating up on chumps like the Panthers & the Westies.
