Yeah Tooves was just on NRL 360 saying it remained unresolved, they're continuing to liase with the NRL and so on and so forth.

Not sure how any decision can be made yet on Gifty for next year when the NRL is saying that the marquee allowance will increase considerably next year from the current $600k but an announcement won't be made until June.

Surely everyone needs to wait until details are released in June as the increased marquee allowance might be sufficient to cover upgrade for DCE and possibly Foz as well as allow us to keep Gifty.

An additional $600k in the cap doesn't mean all that is available straight away. Most top players have clauses in their contract that say if the cap rises they get a percentage increase, plus a cap rise would also mean the minimum guys would also get a pay rise.
