What has got me puzzled as a long time supporter and attender of games at Brookie: What idiot was counting? The crowd was listed at 19 k and yet it was so much more packed than last week's Dragon's game. My tip is that there were at least 22 or 23 k there. There was standing room only on the hill, and though the rain an hour before kick off may have scared a few off, I can't believe the figure.

The reception the crowd gave the team at the end was also sensational.

a possible reason is that they were keeping it low to help the redevelopment bid

Shhh Gronk. I was thinking the same thing this morning.

With 50 minutes before kickoff the crowd was pouring it our area on the hill that had been full half an hour earlier and they didn't stop coming for another 30 minutes until no bodies could move. Sensational.

I was up until 2.00 am watching the replay and the look on the supporter's faces around the ground was just magic. This year we really have pulled the whole Sea Eagle community together.
