DONNYBROOKVALE, the rematch, will be held at Brookvale Oval after a backlash from Sea Eagles fans forced the club's management to scrap their plan to play their new arch-rivals, Melbourne, in Perth.

The club has listened to the supporters, now it is up to us to get down there and make it a full house and a night to remember.

Why the response from the networks. They already hold games in Perth

I think maybe the 9 network had more power than the fans.

Hypocrites!!!!! Ch9 and the NRL have made this decision because they want a replay of what happened last year. They loved the publicity it generated, it went all around the world. Then they do a token finger shaking and sacrifice a couple of players. I hope we are being compensated for the loss in revenue we would have got by taking it to Perth. I'm glad it's being played at Brookie but this reeks of hypocrisy by 9 and Galloop.[hr]
They've already started on the hysteria campaign. " Spite Night" "Donnybrookvale" just wait till they start promoting it with replays of the fighting. **** wits the lot of them.

While it might be good and I hope everyone packs out every Brookie game from here on out but I also hope this won't hurt the club long term.

Can't believe fans complained so hard about this game being moved. We are going to love this club to death one day

"the Artic-cold reaction from Channel Nine and Fox Sport executives who did not favour the logistics involved in covering the match in Perth."

yet they don't mind it when other teams play there.
    hard to understand if true

Maybe not before the club commercialises every last aspect of the "brand". Some perspective needed, money can't buy you love.

That's great news. I wonder which Storm will get sent off for head-butting the fist of an opponent.

I suggest they cage match the entire field. It will give Lussick a chance to shine.

My point exactly. Although it was probably the wrong game to take there. Melbourne have a decent fan base over there but there was more to be gained from having this one at home

I don't know why so many journo's and fans are going on about the return of the battle of brookvale.

The main antagonist was Blair who is now with the tigers.

I believe we should take a few games to bigger stadiums and cash in.

One day in the future, we will only be playing 6 games at brookie and i won't mind as long as the club survives. We need a few games of 20,000+ to help with finances and brookie just can't cope with that amount.

Bingo it is the wrong game to take there. They are looking at taking the grand final rematch to Perth. I've said the whole way along that's the game to showcase to wa.

Cowboys could have an option as well.
They play the dragons in trials over there so could cash in on that

Not at the moment it isnt. The Warriors are **** and we aren't much better. Would be an awful game to take there.[hr]
It wont matter where we play the Storm, is anyone watching them tonight. OMFG they are unbeatable at the moment. They are demolishing the Cows imagine what they will do to us.
Their F/A has guaranteed them the minor premiership already.

Good idea! Start the game at 8pm perth time. Which is midnight for the warriors body clock and we'll put 50 on them and collect cash too!
