Bronco's $1.23

Now I might have my maroon and white glasses on, but a $1.23?
Sure any side would love to have the blokes we have sitting on bench for this game against Bronco's.
Glen Stewart
Brett Stewart
Darcy Fully Lussick
Kieran Foran
But Des has been playing very smart with his bench and interchnages this year, and remembering that great defence wins matches and although Stewart would be my pick of the best defender in that group, the guys we have ready to come in will do Des proud defensively. We also still have guys able to score a try; Mattai, Robertson, Lyon, T-Rex, and Watmough.
I'm sure if the guys coming in and the experienced guys we have left play defensively llike they did against Storm last Friday night, and upset could be on the cards. If you looked at the team cards it's still a pretty good team.
Hoffman vs Hopoate
Beale vs Roberston
Reed vs Lyon
Te'o vs Mattai
Yow yeh vs Oldfield
Lockyer vs Buhrer
Wallace vs Cherry-Evans
Parker vs Rodney
Thaiday vs Watmough
Glenn vs Galuvao
Anderson vs Kite
McGuire vs Mauro

Gillete vs Harrison
Hunt vs Williams
Hannant vs Rose
Hala vs Robinson

Some pretty good matchups there.

We've lost our left side attacking playmaker and class defender in Foran and our right side attacking playmaker and top class defender Gift. We will struggle on Sunday to score points.

Mauro will surprise a lot of you over the next couple of weeks. I'll be surprised if we lose to Brisbane, if we lose it won't be by much. They know how weakened we are so will be aiming to win with as litle physical pain as possible. Our team will play exactly the same physical style as last week and the Broncs won't be that keen, they'll hope to jag a couple of long range tries early to slow us - but we will keep coming!

You are such a negative nancy Mick BUT I think this time I'd agree with you.....we could survive with one of Foz or Gift out but both will make it tough.

Brisbane will win. We don't need to and have every reason not to play well.

Disagree
Every Player who will take the field is a Competitor and will play to win.

The Team we have is the envy of most others -
William Hopoate - Jesus loves Hops
Michael Robertson - Always plays above his weight and scores to boot
Jamie Lyon - Superlatives fail me
Steve Matai - Fully LusSick 1.0 with a sidestep and the best pre-try smile :)
Michael Oldfield - Try scoring freak
Jamie Buhrer - Always plays above his weight and in every position
Daly Cherry-Evans - Superlatives beginning to fail me
Joe Galuvao - Reborn Player, kicks like a Foran
Matt Ballin - Always plays above his weight and cements to Backs and the Forwards
Brent Kite - The Preacher will protect his Flock
Anthony Watmough- Fully LusSick 1.0 finding his straightline running form
Shane Rodney - Reborn Player giving Manly a parting GF gift
Vic Mauro - Shaped like Choc and application of Matty
Daniel Harrison - Looked good so far - Time to show his wares
George Rose - Uses his weight to distract from his sidestep
Tony Williams - Found the Rage and has the speed
Terence Seu Seu - Don’t know much about him except that he is good enough for Des to pick
Tim Robinson - Looked good so far - Time to show his wares

Manly to Win Big Time (Centrebet $30 to win by 7 or more) :D

We can win 8-6 like Storm did recently to Illawarra. A couple of penalties and 4 field goals will do it.

The patched up team will have to play smart and conservative - if anyone can get them right for this game it is Des Hasler. But yes its a big task.

The emotion at Suncorp might even work against Brisbane and everyone knows that it is NOT Lockyer's last game there cause he'll be back for the finals there the following week (if I'm not mistaken).

Its a bit like Beaver's last (comp) game at Brookie in 08 - we all knew he'd be back there the following week and that game was MUCH more intense vs Saints for all.

Well folks we are now flying under the radar again :D:heart:

While I will never write our boys off... I tend to agree with this. For all intents and purposes, this game is a dead-rubber for us and the Broncos will be high on emotion for "Lockyer's last game at Suncorp".

Having said that... I might have a piece of Manly with the points start! :)
