He's our defensive media manager
From back row defender to the defensive media manager role.
There is no getting through Peter Peters :)

When you think about it even though it was a mistake to play Walker at 5/8 with DCE, they never really got a chance to form a combination with DCE having surgery last off-season and then getting injured twice for a month apiece during the regular season.
You make a very good point. It's hard developing into an elite half at the best of times, but when the one players that can take some heat off you is sitting on the sidelines, it becomes that much more difficult.

Too often Walker was the "go to" man last year when he was supposed to be a foil for the 1 million dollar man!

Make no mistake about it, the Titans were disappointed to lose rookie Brian Kelly to the Sea Eagles.

But maybe not as disappointed as you would think.

The intel coming out of the Gold Coast is that Kelly can play but at times lacked the necessary drive and motivation.

Time will tell whether a change in clubs brings about a change in attitude.

The Lurker? Yeah, right.

Secondly, these are exactly the same types of articles The Bulldogs spun when Thurston was coming through as well. There has been fan backlash about them releasing him, and their PR department are very, very good at what they do.

X Coke & Drug issue - swept under carpet
X Scott Prince salary cap issue - swept under the carpet
X Administration failure - swept under the carpet
X Hayne with Porn / Underground people issues - swept under the carpet
X Club going broke / NRL taking over - swept under the carpet

They are a literal debacle off the field. Their media & PR management are just more astute at deflection.

Make no mistake, they are filthy Kelly (The NSW & Australian NYC Centre - who just MUST have been selected to those rep honours for being "lazy") has left them.

They decided to spend up huge on Hayne, Hurrell, Peats & Proctor, then cry foul when one of their most promising juniors coming through has to sign with another club for an opportunity.

Makes me all the more eager for this kid to succeed now. **** em.

I have been very reliably informed by a Titans insider that this kid has major talent and will play first grade.

But....................

He's lazy and lacks ticker. Missed 20's pre season training because he didn't feel like going. He signed for 2018 and the Titans were happy to release him. They were never going to persevere with him and he had no chance of playing FG after he'd signed elsewhere.

Missed pre season training and still made the NSW team and broke their try scoring record....? Geez - I hope we don't make him do pre season training!

Sorry but for me it's illogical that a lazy, tickerless player goes through the gruelling motions of being a footballer, not to mention making rep teams....only the lazy ones can do the extras of reps.

Did your insider tell you this after he'd signed with Manly cause I'm with Ryan, I'd say their defending their decision.

U should hear the talk coming out of Nth Qld about Ponga. Much the same. Excusing their position by turning on him. Just saving face, much like the Titans.
you should see the try scoring record; he basically got the ball with the line open 4 times so don't read into that too much.

Ok. Let's discredit the record because he was always in position in a rep backline and got the job done...?
Yep. Makes complete sense to me.

They must have picked him in the team because he was just always lucky. Shouldn't get any credit for that.

The 11 tries in 15 games for the Titans must have all been just easy walkovers too - shouldn't get any credit for that either.
All I think the Snake was saying that from the NSW highlights game all Kelly had to do was basically catch the ball and score . At the end of a good backline all wingers can look good IMO .

was just sayin hahaha

Yeah I understand that. I just look at it differently I guess.

He did his job. In a rep team. And broke the record for most tries scored.
Darius Boyd if often on the end of some easy tries in origin. He's a known finisher. Gets the job done.

I'm happy to look at the record for what it is. Not try and play it down because of how easily he may have scored.

At least he didn't fumble it... :)
It is great that you are optimistic and we all hope that Kelly fulfills his potential and keeps up his try scoring record for us as well :)
