(But on most recent form I'd say Thurston, Matt Scott, C Smith, Cronk, Tuivasa-Shek)

Pretty tough ask to pinpoint the 5 best but if you were building a team from scratch, you'd want the best 1,6,7 and 9 you could get. With that in mind,

1. Thurston....he's the best player in the game. (solves the goal kicker issue too)
2. Burgess....he's the best forward.
3. RTS
4. Smith....don't like him, but it's not a popularity contest.
5. DCE

With two more picks, I'd go for grunt in the front row.....Jared Maria and Matt Scott.
