we are the armmy
the useless army
we fat and balding
and drink warm beer
our team can not win
a single cricket game
oh well we think we're cool because we cheer

Not much to sing about for the poor old poms. Some serious loss of confidence by this side, they can't wait for the plane trip home to lift off. We haven't batted that well but they have bowled poorly, no ability to apply constant pressure. Look forward to witnessing another 5-0 drubbing.

Be interesting to see how this Australian side is really travelling when we get to South Africa.

3 more wickets to get then it's all over (in 3 days).

5-0 fast approaching and it's been a good'un!

5-0! wooot!

What a remarkable achievement by Michael Clarke's side. Having been comprehensively beaten in England just four months ago they have became just the third side in the 140-year history of the game to complete an Ashes whitewash. (from cric info)

and now for the speeches.

Hard to believe how rapid the disintegration of this England side has been

Batting wise, Cook, Pietersen and Bell are all class and weird to have them all out of knick in 1 series. Trott obviously a big loss. Root is a talent but they have really let him down shuffling him up and down the order. Carberry went ok but tough to debut with no senior batsman firing. Poor choice in the touring squad not to have a back up top order bat, they have shafted Compton out of the setup really quick. Stokes is a talent but 6 is too high at this point of his career, he is a number 8

Prior just cooked himself mentally, and no backup specialist keeper in the squad is another blunder

The bowling one takes it for me though. They made a point of picking big tall bowlers in Tremlett, Finn and Rankin and they hardly sAw any action, what was the point ? They left the best bowler in county cricket at home who would have reveled in the conditions, Graham Onions. Injuries look like they have stuffed Swann completely, Panesar is a decent back up but no point having him there if Cook won't bowl him

It was a poorly picked squad before they even left England

Would love to see the series next month with the Saffers but don't think it will be shown here. Johnson won't intimidate Smith, Amla and De Villiers and in Steyn, Morkel and Philander they have the attack to give back as good as they receive, should be a beauty

The poms just didn't bowl well. They couldn't build any pressure at any point in the series.

Great day out there today , that's the second 5-0 drubbing I've witnessed and how beautiful it was.

You could get the series online, like I do if you want?

I really enjoyed following this series, first time I have bothered to watch cricket in some time really. It is funny how a period of mediocrity can increase the enjoyment when things finally click. The SA series should be very interesting indeed. I'm not always blindly nationalistic but I hope our team steps up, and the spirit in the team currently will be very hard for the proteas to curb. We have some real standouts in Johnson, Warner, Clarke, and Smith (who I always had high hopes for). Haddin is tremendous but we can't afford to keep relying on his batting.
