Who's to say Koula can't play on the wing?
He'd get the ball more that way anyway.

1.Trbojevic
2.Saab
3.Iro
4.Garrick
5.Koula
Koula is a great defensive back, which is why I wouldn't move him to the wing. While the Parra game maybe didn't show it, he has been the most solid Centre we have defensively since Parker.

Talau for mine is the first recourse if the Garrick-to-centre initiative is finally canned. He is a great player from the limited amt I seen of him and is defensively solid so far, and improving.

You can see the difference in mindset for a Winger vs Centre as clear as day with Garrick so far. Garrick is a great player, but he's playing his winger role in a centre position it feels like to me. He's not used to having a man outside and inside him at the same time to coonsider in D. In O he's getting lots of run-metres sure, but its because he is running the ball himself, like he used to on the wing, rather than putting his outside man into space.

And just on a side note if we plan on signing any player we want we better get a move on before the roosters open up their war chest.

Great point , I think they’ll have about 3.4 million to spend , which really means about 8 million.

They will be doing some serious damage to the player market for 2025.

It’ll be virtually impossible to get any of the top players , for any position they want .
They’ll offer a top forward , $500k on the cap , $350k in third party payments and a sign on bonus of 50% off a 1.8 million Bondi apartment that can be flicked in a few years for a 2 million profit.

And they’ll fund the players kids private school education for the life of the contract & any extensions.

And Uncle Nick will ensure they get the latest , greatest car for them & another for their wife.

I’m not sure any club can compete with that, it’s a complete Rort , it’s happening and the NRL turn a blind eye.

Mark, Mark, you forgot about the job with the club after footy, how many ex players are employed by them ??

Oh of course , silly me , yes and the job post footy.

Honestly , you cannot blame a young footy player who doesn’t have a dream to play with his junior club ( that feeds into an NRL side ) for life.

If it came down to purely money , the Rorters would win hands down every time.

The NRL turning a blind eye is the bit that pisses me off, they had us under a microscope when we last won a premiership.

I think the NRL realise now they can’t do much , as long as the clubs don’t overspend on the cap grant they are at a loss to stop everything.

The real estate one I know is a fact, I have a mate in the real estate game and it’s common knowledge that the Rorters players get the opportunity to “ buy off the plan “ at huge discounts ( 50%). The developers will be connected to board members somehow so pretty easy to set up.

There’s just so many ways through “ creative accounting “ that this can happen & unless the NRL used a forensic accountant it’s virtually undiscoverable.

On 360 they said about 4m to spend.
So who actually pays for these 3rd party arrangements, Roosters club or out of Politis' pocket.
