Thats a good point and it just makes me wonder with all the complexities of the salary cap wether Manly is simply going through the very bottom cycle of the cap (rebuild year if you like) and where we are in the next build up cycle.
Every time I have asked on this site if we need to rebuild its howled down by all & sundry as if there is no cap cycle.

Since all this drama began I've been holding back from making comment in the hope that it was more media beat up than truth....sadly I'm starting to believe these guys genuinely want out.
If Glenn managed to make an effort to attend Mad Monday I can only assume choc and snake have a different axe to grind with the club than the one the papers have been pushing.

I do like Siosaia Vave as a player. I watched his performances in some of cronulla win this year and wished he was wearing maroon and white. I didn't think he was up for grabs? I can't find it on the net but my memory is he picked up a really bad injury towards the end of the year. Hope it wasn't his knee. Still be happy to have this lad on board.
