So who can help me out. How many players from this team have gone on to play first grade and then rep footy? Is this a record? Was it all crusher or dave warrick.

I have to think it's a record since the twentys came in although I think the Canberra team with Dugan and Croker had a few. Didn't they have that little nugget winger carney who broke his leg chasing rabbits?

Nighty night for me cyclone in the morning. Second in two months. Bit sick of them.

I always thought Riccardi was a great talent at 5/8 that came through at the wrong time ip after DCE and Foran.
I reckon a few from this years team could possibly make the step up including Tom T, Ramien, Pratt and Demetriou the most likely.

Kenny Edwards also started with us in 2009, but I think we sacked him.
Hodkinson came to Manly in 2010 but we sent to play Q Cup, not 20s (I think)

Completely forgot we had wares Hargreaves... What a player hahaha
I've heard good things about young winger Lucas price and Pratt

Jwh made his first grade debut with us in 09. He was destined to be great but we had kite and king in front of him and the roosters offered him massive dollars.

Let's Riccardi back.

Yeah Hodkinson played q cup. And DCE PLAYED q cup the next year when hodkinson took over from ox. TASI was the goods. What happened to Cunningham?

That would be a pretty good FG team for any club lol

I find it sad that at not just our club, juniors come through a system of a club and are then poached by clubs with more coin. The whole idea of building a team is undermined by that. When you look at the team we had in the 20s cup in 2009, we would have built a real dynasty but on the flip side we would have had to release some of the senior players to keep them. It is a real juggle to manage the cap.

Heard phil Gould on MMM last week saying that the roosters whole development revolves around identifying good young players at other clubs then throwing heaps of coin at them a year before they really peak. Whereas at the panthers it's the opposite because of their junior base. I know crusher had a lot to do with that squad. Pissed off Hopoate was on three years at 150k as a fifteen year old then signed for the eels. But you can't really pay 800 a season betting a bloke will come back after two years without footy. Then again Danny wicks is playing better after four years out of the game then he ever did.
