    A new salary scandal

The Mole article in a nutshell says, documents have been leaked around social media. It centres around an outside back who looked certain to be cut due to cap problems months ago, the player managed to stay at the last minute thanks to $200k from a mystery benefactor, the money was paid to his...

    Leagues Club site redevelopment

The Penn's sold it last year the GSW Property Holdings, but the agreement had a long settlement date which was due in March just gone I believe. The pie in the sky proposed 11-storey development got slapped down quickly and then rescinded mid last year, at the time the architect said he hoped...

    Finals footy

I think this timeline is appropriate if you're trying to build something from the ground up without much of a base, like the early Hasler years. I don't think it holds true for this version of Manly though.

    Finals footy

I hope this year because I don't want to head into 2017 with yet another new coach in this results driven business.

    Walker on the way....

I think his defence looked better because he was back at centre with Brown defending 3 in. He was getting physically dominated early by Ferguson but it seemed to even out in the end. I'd like to see him run more, or just with more intent. The crabbing across the field showing the ball inside...

    Manly hold talks with Coote

Coote expected to join the Dragons... Good news. http://rugbyleagueweek.com.au/dragons-set-to-bag-coote/?adbsc=social_20160324_59715256&adbid=712829702155608065&adbpl=tw&adbpr=236216311

    Manly hold talks with Coote

There's a few. The 2 Tigers halves are yet to commit, Corey Norman is among that Eels cap mess, Kodi Nikorima isn't going to see a starting 13 opportunity at Brisbane any time soon, Blake Green probably squeezed out of Melbourne and Luke Keary likewise at Souths.

    2016 Rumoured and confirmed signings.

Manly are interested in Lachlan Coote as a possible halves partner to DCE, Barrett met with his manager 6 weeks ago. Dragons are the favourites for his signature at the moment...

    2017

Whoever is picked up I'd show a preference towards someone with decent goalkicking ability if there's one out there.

    Stewart confident of return

I hope he takes his own advice and sits out if it's not ready and he isn't pressured to play. It's a difficult 4-5 rounds coming with a couple of short turn arounds but plenty of time to rest in the period after that. 11 day turn around between rounds 7-8, and byes between rounds 9-10 and 11-12.

    The Big Green Spot

It's not as noticeable on the white but that jersey is still an all round eyesore no matter what sponsor is $lapped on it.

Time To Call Out Barrett And Certain Players

Jake's week 1 was a bit of an anomaly, his hit ups (+54%) and metres (+33%) were significantly higher than his 2015 average, he can't do that every week. His tackle count was pretty much identical on a per minute basis from week 1 to week 2. The number of hit ups were on par with his 2015...

Time To Call Out Barrett And Certain Players

If we're going to throw stones, don't forget the bloke who was getting a lot the credit just a few weeks ago from a lot of fans, media and the club. Some responsibility needs to be thrown on to Bozo. He got a bunch of kudos just before the season for rebuilding an apparent juggernaut but has...

    New Ray Chesterton book

Thanks for the tip, I'll need to pick this one up. There's a follow-up to The Sea Eagle Has Landed (different authors) which covers 1991 right up to the beginning of this season on the way too, it's supposed to be released sometime this year.

John Hopoate v NRL dispute takes another twist as legal battle gets confusing

If he or his lawyer thought it was done they certainly didn't withdraw their supreme court case, due to be heard on Tuesday as it has been scheduled all week, well find out more then I guess.

    2016 Rumoured and confirmed signings.

Bozo has promised a big name forward for 2017. Brett Stewart will finish his career at Manly, not in France. Manly are interested in Nelson Asofa-Solomona from Melbourne. From The Lurker

Sea Eagles stalwart Jamie Lyon wants an 18th season in the NRL

I don't think cap room should be an issue unless they target another big name or two. The deciding factor might be Walker at five-eighth, if it's determined he's not working there and needs to shift back to centre, then it's Lyon's spot he will most likely take.

New Player(s) Most keen to see!!

Walker, of the new players, pretty much know what the other guys are going to bring. Cherry-Evans' new roaming role is the most interesting of everyone though, hopefully it hasn't been overstated.
