    Club News 2024

We need to spread our search wider but agree we shouldn’t be missing good local talent.

    Thank god for the HIA

Gotta agree Reuben often looks like a deer in headlights when defending in the centres. He is a better winger than a centre IMO.

Annesley's weakly "Why this happened" report - 2024 edition.

The bunker is an absolute blight on the game. The only people that don't see it are the NRL and the officials. Please NRL get rid of it. It is a complete waste of money.

    Tom is a Myth

Tom is a champion but is playing well below his best. IMO your fullback needs to have impeccable positional play and rock solid defence. If Toms is not in a good space and tentative in defence then he shouldn't be our last line of defence. Until he plays himself back into form I'd be running him...

What will turn Manly from a good side into a great side

Composure, patience, cut out the low percentage plays, defence, defence, defence. Its not rocket science it just takes self discipline and our captain needs to show the way.

    Dolphins V Manly [Round 10, 2024]

I can't understand why you wouldn't play smart football after leading 20 nil. We have given up good leads far too often this season for it not to be a serious problem. Its poor on field decision making. We lack composure and discipline.

Game Day: Manly V Raiders [Round 9, 2024]

The next two weeks are really important.

    Demetriou Sacked!

The players can make or break a coach. Some factions in a group stop listening and it all starts to fall apart. It about team culture and personal responsibility. Souths have been in a downhill spiral since last season so its difficult to pull out it by simply dumping the coach after 9 rounds...

All NRL Games [Round 9, 2024]

    Starting to look like communism.

    [Resurrected] Lol @ Parra

Its going to be real tough for them to make the 8. They are likely to loose 3 out of the next four games after the bye this week against the Broncos, Storm and Sharks. They should beat Souths but you never know. BA will be real nervous I reckon with both Moses and Gutho out the next few weeks...

    Demetriou Sacked!

It was inevitable. You can't lose that many games and expect to keep the job. Souths are a proud club.

    Paul Kent in trouble again

I watched the video and boy was that was an act of drunken stupidity taking off his watch and shaping up to fight. Old enough to know better. We make poor decisions when our better judgment is impaired by too much grog. When drinking starts to get you into trouble its time to give it up.

    Haumole gone, DCE resurrected

Brookie is a great playing surface and drains well. A slippery ball is the greatest challenge and we need to respect possession and be prepared to roll our sleeves up in defence. Our defence out wide is still leaking points.

    Jake Arthur

Jake will get a shot. I like that he continues to perform and work hard in reserve grade. He has a good work ethic and will have his day.

    Risky NRL training cultures

I agree there is a big difference between the two incidents. However health (including mental health) and safety always loom large and remains a responsibility of the club. It turns on where the truth lies and whether a response was reasonable. Reasonableness is not measured by what is done at...
